When I saw that Dr. Norman Shealy, M.D., called Quantum-Touch, "The first technique that may truly allow us all to become healers," this certainly caught my attention. Dr. Shealy, founding President of the American Holistic Medical Association is notorious for evaluating healing modalities to a very high standard. He extensively tested Carolyn Myss Ph.D., and eventually endorsed her work. Dr. Shealy was so impressed after testing Quantum-Touch on his most difficult chronic pain patients who had not been helped by any traditional or alternative modality, he wrote the foreword to Quantum-Touch: The Power to Heal, praised Quantum-Touch in his new book, Sacred Healing, and has included it in a course he teaches at Greenwich University.

In Richard Gordon's new book, Quantum-Touch: The Power to Heal, readers are shown how anyone can quickly and easily obtain extraordinary results with hands-on healing. Gordon, whose previous best-selling book, Your Healing Hands: The Polarity Experience, now in nine languages, explained that, "this is probably the easiest new skill that people can learn." Not only does this technique rapidly reduce pain and inflammation, but it will even cause postural corrections to spontaneously occur. Dr. Darla Parr. D.C. writes, "You actually have to see this work to know how good it is. Bones move into alignment with just a light touch." When the energy is affecting the system, it affects the cells, tissue, nerves, muscles, ligaments, as well as the bones. The bones moving are only the tip of the iceberg of all the sorts of healing that occur. When the bones move back into alignment with energy, they tend to stay in place because it was the body that chose the new alignment. When force is used, there is a greater tendency to move them back to their original position.

Since practitioners learn to hold a very high vibration in their body and hands, they receive a healing in the process of helping others, and the practitioner never becomes drained from giving a session. Dr. Jerry Pittman, M.D. wrote, "In its elegance, Quantum-Touch provides healing bioenergy for the healer as well as the person seeking healing." Richard Gordon is quick to point out that the definition of a "healer" is "someone who was sick and got well÷a great healer is someone who was very sick and got well quickly."

In a clear step by step fashion, Mr. Gordon actually teaches people to use simple body awareness and breathing techniques to focus healing energy in their own hands. Through the principle of resonance and entrainment, the area being healed simply matches the vibration of the practitionerâs hands. He explains that the practitioner learns to hold an energy field to allow the person you are working on to heal themselves. He states, ãPeople heal themselves. You can no more heal another person than you can digest their lunch. Once you provide the energy field, it is their own body that does the healing.ä

One of the most wonderful aspects of this work is that Quantum-Touch can be seamlessly integrated into the practice of chiropractors, acupuncturists, physical therapists or other healing modality, yet Quantum-Touch is so easy to learn, it is also an ideal technique for lay people who wish to have this invaluable skill. In a matter of a few hours, a novice can become a skilled ãhealerä just by reading this book and following the breathing and body awareness exercises.
