Safety and Protection By Peter Moore I want to offer a simple technique for providing safety and protection for you wherever you go—at work, in family, on travels. The process involves visualization and making sounds. Where toning sounds is impractical (waking a mate, disturbing colleagues), the sounds can be omitted altogether or taken to the imaginary realm where they are heard on the inner planes. I owe the visualization technique to Dick Blasband, MD, who in turn learned it from the Russian healer and physicist Nicolai Levashov. A much curtailed version can be found at the latter’s website, www.levashov.info. The parallel sound component I adopted from a clearing process from Chava Leson in the early 1980s. Leson at that time had been a vocal coach for sixty years, the last twenty of which she had devoted to the spiritual aspects of voice. Blasband helped set up, with Elsworth Baker, the American College of Orgonomy, the institution responsible for training physicians in medical orgonomy, the drug-free healing approach for a wide variety of conditions, requiring knowledge and experience in orgone, or life energy. The persecution in the USA of those studying energy medicine has left our healing practitioners largely having to work in so-called “alternative” settings. Luckily, repressive attitudes are gradually dissipating worldwide, and the enlightened study and manipulation of subtle energies is becoming more accepted. However, even though this is the case, we must still struggle to break free of centuries, if not thousands of years, of a mechanistic or dogmatic understanding of the universe, which, frankly, has left our scientists in the dark. For example, current scientific understanding of energy or matter has theories which only account for 4% of the energy or matter in the universe: the rest is labeled “Dark Matter.” Similarly, the human genome is sometimes said to contain 95 to 98% “junk” DNA, because only about 4% contain genes which code for the production of proteins. Intrepid and skilled energetic healers such as Levashov have suggested a link between “junk” DNA and “Dark” matter/energy. This DNA codes for abilities which our current educational system trains out of us: intuition, telepathy, clairvoyance, prophecy, telekinesis, and the like. As a person develops his higher subtle bodies, these abilities come forward. If we only look at disease from the physical level, and confine our healing modalities, therefore, to the 4% of the universe’s energy/matter, we will largely be treating symptoms, not underlying causes. And the usual treatment of symptoms involves the use of drugs with their own toxic problems. This is like treating the problem of diseases and pests in agriculture by the progressive application of pesticides, fungicides, herbicides, and so on. Our culture is slowly waking up to the obvious dead end this leads to. The visualization I mentioned at the beginning is designed to protect you from all levels of toxicity, starting at the physical. The process involves imagining seven concentric levels, each corresponding to the colors of the rainbow. Some people have called these levels sheaths or bodies, but they are all aspects of the energy system of our planetary existence. Someone whose seven levels are in exact alignment and in whom each level is an exact duplicate of the other levels has attained planetary enlightenment and would appear to us to have god-like powers. In the meantime, the rest of us can start visualizing the body as best we can in this way: Outline the body, all its internal organs, blood supply, etc in red. Then do the same in orange, then yellow, then green, on up through the spectrum until violet is reached. At the same time, as you tune into each level, tone a steady “Ah” sound which is as open and sustained as possible. With the first level, you will want to find your lowest note to tone which is comfortable and unstrained; the orange/next level would be one step up the scale; the yellow level, one more step; and so on. In Western music, this would be the notes Do, Re, Me, Fa, etc. In Raga singing practice, the names of the notes would be Sa, Re, Ga, Ma, Pa, Dha, Ni. The useful aspect of using your voice is that it helps you anchor the successive levels in your physical body. It will help to align and give a reference point for your other levels of existence. At the same time, it will also give you some feedback as to which of your levels needs particular strengthening. Since each tone tends to be associated, also, with a particular part of your body, clearing that tone will help to clear that part of your body. It’s easy to see, from an energetic point of view, why someone is prone to sore throats, while others are prone to sore backs, for example. If you are not forcing the sounds too much, then it will be sometimes surprisingly obvious which level is out of whack. Suddenly, the sound will come out cracked, raspy, weak or wavery, whereas surrounding tones, or tones lower in the scale, have been relatively free of discord. The technique to use, if this happens, is just to stay on the note—it may take a while, but in time, the sound of the note will clear, signifying a clearing of that level and/or that area of your body. The other thing to remember in this guided meditation is your root note, your Sa or Do. It’s no good if your fourth level, Ma, for example, is coming out nice and strong, but you can’t find your way back to Sa. (Homework question: why would this be so? Hint: what good is an open heart if you can’t locate your pelvic floor? Or perhaps you’re in touch with your pelvis, but then does your breathing stiffen?) In the Levashov system, each level corresponds to a particular quality or kind of matter/energy. The red level is physical; the orange, the etheric; the yellow, the astral; the green, the first mental body; and so on, until violet, which would represent the fourth mental body. The tones would, in an open system, be felt more intensely in an upward direction in the body: Sa, the pelvic floor; Re, the abdomen; Ga, the solar plexus; Ma, the centre of the chest; Pa, the throat; Dha, the forehead; and Ni, the top of the skull. Finally, once all sheaths are felt, sounded, and visualized, you are to give this rainbow body a very important program, repeated until it is fully automatic: first, that it should not let in anything which is harmful to yourself, your body, or your spirit; secondly, that it not let out anything without your permission. The second part of the program means that your energy cannot be sucked out of you, leaving you tired or drained. The first part of the formula, as you begin to sense it taking effect, will give you, perhaps for the first time in your life, a sense of safety and protection. I wish you well in your practice.
